Lila Abu-Lughod Wins Awards
Lila Abu-Lughod received two awards in November. The first was the American Ethnological Society Senior Book Prize for her book Dramas of Nationhood. She also received the American Anthropological Association's Middle East Section's Outstanding Senior Scholar Award, given for scholarship and mentoring. She is an ACLS fellow this spring and will be a Carnegie Scholar in 2008-2009 working on a new book on the international circulation of discourses on Muslim women's rights.
