In the News: Venkatesh Profiled in the Observer
A New York Observer article featuring South Asian New Yorkers working in the arts, fashion, literature, and academia profiled Sudhir Alladi Venkatesh, Director of the Center for Urban Research and Policy (CURP) at ISERP. Venkatesh was highlighted for his academic achievements such as the publication of Off the Books, his new book on underground economies, as well as his ventures into the arts with the release of his second film Abhidya, which is about the effects of 9/11 on a South Asian-American woman's community.
