Sara Claro da Fonseca is a guest researcher at the Social Science Research Center (WZB) and a PhD candidate in Political Science at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Her research interests include political representation, electoral systems, party organization and behaviour, transnationalism. Claro da Fonseca's dissertation is on immigrant mobilization in German elections. It analyses the impact of the 1999 German citizenship reform on candidate nomination, party manifestos and campaign issues.
Sara Claro da Fonseca is a visiting scholar at ISERP. Her stay at Columbia University is sponsored by a doctoral scholarship from the Portuguese Ministry of Science.
