Research

Andrew Davidson's research interests include contraceptive methods: Norplant and female sterilization; family planning and fertility issues; the transition to parenthood. He is the Senior Vice Dean and Professor of Population & Family Health at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, the Director of Academic Program, Division of Population and Family Health; a former member of the Social Sciences and Population Advisory Committee, National Institutes of Health; and a former advisor for the Special Program in Human Reproduction, World Health Organization.
