Research
Geraldine Downey is Associate Professor and chair in Psychology, where she directs the departmentÂ's Social Relations Laboratory. A developmental psychologist, she has conducted extensive research on rejection sensitivity in the context of interpersonal relationships and of institutional settings such as schools; she has also studied social factors in depression, schizophrenia, and suicidal ideation.
