Research

Ansley T. Erickson is a Ph.D. Candidate in US History at Columbia, studying the intersections between economic change and educational inequity in metropolitan settings through a case study of Nashville, Tennessee from 1950 to 2000. Her historical research is informed by previous work as a high school history teacher in New York City and by experience in education reform advocacy. She also produced and directed "Crossing Town: Brown's Legacy in Nashville," a documentary film on busing for school desegregation there.
