Research
Grace June Kim graduated from Mount Holyoke College with high honors in Psychology and a degree in French and studied abroad in Montpellier, France for a year. Her undergraduate thesis explored the career pursuits of adolescents who were to be the first generation in their families to attend college as compared to other young people who had college-educated parents. Particularly examined was the relationship between these individuals' social capital and the quality of their plans for the future. She is currently serving as Associate Director at the Center for Urban Research and Policy under the directorship of Sudhir Venkatesh.
