Research
As ISERP's Grants Manager, Kristin Murphy facilitates grant research, project development, and proposal submission to major funding institutions for Columbia faculty. She helps faculty edit proposals and develop budgets for their projects, connects them to funding opportunities, and advises them on managing funder relations and Institutional Review Board (IRB)/Human subjects protocols. In addition, she works on several research projects, including an occupational study of the funeral industry in New York City and an ethnographic study of the sex work industry. Kristin holds a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Chicago and an M.A. in American Studies from Columbia University.
