Urban Stewardship Project

by Dana Fisher (Sociology)

The Urban Stewardship Project studies the processes of and mechanics through which environmental stewardship happens. It maps the urban environmental stewardship activities of groups from civil society, government, and the business sectors in New York City. By exploring the networks among these stewards and the social, organizational, informational, and funding nodes that link them, this project examines the ways that stewards connect, compete with, and compliment the goals of government agencies and the private business sector.
