Alliance Call for Joint Projects

The Alliance Call for Joint Projects are intended to support transatlantic projects of the highest quality, both in scientific research and collaborative teaching efforts, between faculty members of all disciplines within the Alliance network. The Alliance Call for Joint Projects aim to promote new efforts in joint research proposal development, pilot research, collaborative teaching endeavors, and other activities in order to create new transatlantic collaborative initiatives.

Humans, Disasters, and the Built Environment (HDBE)

The Humans, Disasters and the Built Environment (HDBE) program supports fundamental, multidisciplinary research on the interactions between humans and the built environment within and among communities exposed to natural, technological and other types of hazards and disasters. The program's context is provided by ongoing and emerging changes in three interwoven elements of a community: its population, its built environment (critical infrastructures, physical and virtual spaces, and buildings and related structures) and the hazards and disasters to which it is exposed.

American Fellowships

These fellowships are for dissertation work, research, or preparation of publications. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.

Data Science Institute Seed Grants

Aimed at advancing research that combines data science expertise with domain expertise, the ROADS Provost Ignition grant is intended to assist researchers who are interested in this theme to come together. We are particularly drawn to faculty teams whose proposed project will enable them to develop successful proposals for large scale grants. We will look for applications that propose unique and novel approaches to bring scholars together to work on projects that cross traditional discipline boundaries. In essence, we are looking for methods that are not just "business as usual."

Center on Global Energy Policy Grants

Grants will be awarded to support faculty research and public policy analysis focused on topics relevant to the Center’s mission. This includes policy-relevant work on economic, geopolitical, technical, institutional and environmental issues related to the production and consumption of energy. Funding will be available from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.
