Graduate Research Fellowship Program for Criminal Justice Statistics

This program provides awards to accredited universities for doctoral research that uses criminal justice data or statistical series and focuses on crime, violence, and other criminal justice-related topics. BJS invests in doctoral education by supporting universities that sponsor students who demonstrate the potential to complete doctoral degree programs successfully in disciplines relevant to the mission of BJS, and who are in the final stages of
graduate study.

Data Science Institute Seed Grants

Aimed at advancing research that combines data science expertise with domain expertise, the ROADS Provost Ignition grant is intended to assist researchers who are interested in this theme to come together. We are particularly drawn to faculty teams whose proposed project will enable them to develop successful proposals for large scale grants. We will look for applications that propose unique and novel approaches to bring scholars together to work on projects that cross traditional discipline boundaries. In essence, we are looking for methods that are not just "business as usual."

Center on Global Energy Policy Grants

Grants will be awarded to support faculty research and public policy analysis focused on topics relevant to the Center’s mission. This includes policy-relevant work on economic, geopolitical, technical, institutional and environmental issues related to the production and consumption of energy.
